Our Club specialize in Lion Drum Dance, Music, and Entertainment, hence the name LionDrumDanceTeam. It was founded by Ricky Pham in 2021, who took a traditional cultural art and transformed it into a modern entertainment team. Originally started as a single Oxford Academy club, LionDrumDanceTeam has since expanded and added programs in Anaheim Union High School District and all of Orange County.
A Never Ending “Adventurous Journey”
Lion Drum Dance Team began in 2021 and is a student organization dedicated to the celebration of lion dance, an important tradition in Vietnamese and Chinese culture. Lion dancing is a traditional art form that combines the skills of Asian dance and martial arts. We hope to preserve this practice and help students reconnect with their heritage through lion dancing. As a group we work to share this tradition with the community, bringing good luck and prosperity to those around us. We welcome and encourage students of all experience levels to join our team. We’d love for an experienced dancer to continue developing their skills, or for a new member to discover a new passion to pursue!

Every year on the Christmas and New Year holidays, VNARP Fighting for Hunger, at QD Venue along with thousands of compassionate volunteers, the Tim Do Nha Khoa partners with the Anaheim Union High School District Volunteers to pack warm gifts and food from the loving hearts of the children.
